I'm about half way finished reading John Robb's awesome book Brave New War: The Next Stage of Terrorism and the End of Globalization. Written in 2007, it's proved to be quite prescient in regards to the current situation in Iraq, and I suspect the book will remain quite relevant in the years to come. If you want to know the history of the nation state style of governance we all live under, and its frightening vulnerabilities that may prove to be its undoing, this book is a must read.
